Ted McKenna

After 43 years of drumming, with such names as The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Rory Gallagher, Greg Lake, Gary Moore, Michael Schenker, Ian Gillan and Womack & Womack, amongst many others, Ted is truly world class and one of the UK’s greatest drummers and without doubt one of the best teachers for the intermediate /advanced pupil. Phillip Ragsdell

A well-respected drummer who has appeared in many types of settings in many genres, with a very impressive history in drumming including studying drums with John Savage, winning a Percussion scholarship at the Guildhall School of music, studying Jazz at Leeds College of Music. Phillip has become an important independent drummer and educator in the Scottish drumming scene, and now shares his wealth of ability at dD Drums.

David Dowell

As founder of dD Drums in 2001 , David has built a solid reputation for Drumming tuition , boasting an unbeatable 100% pass rate for all SQA examination pupils and an impressive roster of former and present pupils. Modern contemporary techniques and material pulling from Rudimental practice , reading notation are all utilized designed to improve abilities whilst at the same time remaining relevant to modern playing.
