dD Drums was created as an expansion to a small drum-tuition practice. This means tuition has always been very important to us at dD Drums, and teaching has grown alongside the shop.
Guest tutors make regular appearances at the shop and last weekend we played host to one of the most prolific educators/clinicians in the country: Craig Blundell.
It’s always a pleasure to have Craig around the shop for a few days. The one-on-one lessons were once again a huge success with every participant feeling huge benefits from an hour spent with Craig, who not only pushes your drumming capabilities, but re-sets your mental state to be more effective at practicing and learning new material.
This time, we wanted to offer something a little different and we were pleased to offer the first ever group masterclasses conducted by Craig. There were two sessions, one aimed at beginners/improvers and another aimed at more accomplished players. Both were a huge success and were enjoyed by all who took part.

Craig had some lovely words to say about his three days at dD:
“The end of a genuinely brilliant weekend of teaching and informal intimate masterclasses. Thank you to all that turned out and took part over the three days, but equally importantly to Dave and Stuart at dD drums. Those guys have a BRILLIANT store and are building a fantastic drumming community up here. Long may it continue… “
